Ozco Building Products 6x6 Post Base, Black, Pack of 1

The new 6×6 Post Base Laredo Sunset OWT-Lite by OZCO is a beautifully designed product that shares some of the patented features of the Original OWT Post base. It is specifically engineered with a 1 inch offset to comply with international residential building codes, allowing for installation with non-rot-resistant lumber.

OWT-Lite products are simplified versions of the original OWT products, designed to meet minimum load requirements and offered at a more affordable price point. One of the main differences between OWT-Lite and Original is that OWT-Lite has plates on two sides instead of all four, and is constructed with steel that is 40-percent thinner.

Included in the package are: 1 Post Base Plate, 4 Decorative Plates, 8 Hex Cap Nuts, and 8 OWT Timber Screws measuring 1/4-inch by 2-3/4-inch. The bases are made of galvanized steel, which is then black powder coated to provide an attractive finish. Additionally, the hardware needed to attach the base to the post for standard installations is included.

The bases themselves are constructed from 3/16-inch thick hot dipped galvanized and powder coated steel, with a raised base that keeps the wood post elevated from ground contact. This product is recommended for use in a variety of outdoor structures, including pergolas, decks, veranda posts, pavilions, arbors, and railings.
