This new version also includes a 1-inch offset, meeting international residential building codes for installation using non-rot-resistant lumber. OWT Lite products are simplified versions of the original OWT line, designed to meet minimum load requirements while offering a more budget-friendly option.

The main differences between OWT-Lite and the Original are that the Lite version has plates on two sides instead of all four and is made with steel that is 40% thinner. The package includes: 1 Post Base Plate, 4 Decorative Plates, 8 Hex Cap Nuts, and 8 of the 1/4-inch by 2-3/4-inch OWT Timber Screws.

The bases are constructed of galvanized steel, then powder coated in black for a sleek finish. Hardware for attaching the base to the post for standard installations is included. The 3/16-inch thick hot-dipped galvanized and powder-coated steel construction ensures durability, while the raised base keeps the wood post elevated from ground contact.
